One of my hobbies is scuba diving. This year, I got certified
for Open Water diving (via PADI) and I’ve been diving in Hood Canal and
Key Largo. I’m looking forward to a lot more diving in the future.
If you are certified or want to become certified and don’t know where all the cool spots to dive are, the Travel-Dive website is for you. Not only is it written by divers for divers but it’s probably the best looking dive site I’ve ever seen.

Based on your history with panic attacks, I don’t even think that you could get into a class (unless you lied to the instructors).
I had to have my doctor say that it was ok for me to take the class since I have a asthma. This in turn made me think that I couldn’t do it and freaked me out in all of the tests where you have to remove your regulator (the part that goes into your mouth) and put it back in.
With all that being said, they teach you in a pool for weeks before you ever go diving in open water so it’s really not that bad.
